1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Sikhtogather, or by joining our early-access list, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. The service
Sikhtogather is a community platform that helps the Sikh Sangat find local Gurdwaras, events, businesses and jobs. During early access, parts of the platform may be unavailable, incomplete, or change without notice. We provide the service on an "as available" basis.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Sikhtogather. If you use it on behalf of an organisation — such as a Gurdwara or business — you confirm you're authorised to do so.
4. Acceptable use
Sikhtogather is a space built on the values of the Sangat — sewa, respect and community. When using it, you agree not to:
- Break any law, or infringe anyone's rights.
- Post content that is false, misleading, hateful, harassing, obscene, or that disrespects any faith or community.
- Impersonate others, or misrepresent a Gurdwara, business, event or job.
- Spam, scrape, or misuse the platform or other members' information.
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit (such as messages, listings or images). By submitting it, you grant us a licence to host and display it as part of running the service. You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
6. Listings & community information
Once live, listings (Gurdwaras, businesses, events and jobs) may be added by the community. We work to keep information accurate but can't guarantee it — always confirm important details (such as diwan or langar times, or job details) directly with the organisation. Listings do not imply our endorsement.
7. Intellectual property
The Sikhtogather name, logo, design and software are owned by us and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our permission. Sacred and community references are used respectfully and remain the heritage of the Panth.
8. Third-party links
Sikhtogather may link to other websites or services we don't control. We're not responsible for their content or practices — using them is at your own discretion.
9. Disclaimers
Sikhtogather is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information will always be accurate or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sikhtogather will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot legally be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the platform grows. When we make significant changes, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Sikhtogather after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local law requires otherwise.
